4 Simple Tips to Get Rid of Acne Marks

By Refadoc, Posted on : Monday, 19 May 2014 - 7:11 am IST

Acnes come and go, but they leave behind the marks, which if not treated on time can cause great harm to the skin. If treated properly these acne marks tend to go with the passage of time. However, if proper care is not taken, then chances of permanent scars from these acnes would definitely be higher. Rather than going for chemical treatment for these marks, we need to find and adopt some natural and home-made remedies for the removal of these scars within a specific time.

1. Baking Soda Treatment:

The baking soda mask is one of the most widely adopted ways for the treatment of the pimple scars. For this, 2-4 spoons of baking soda are mixed with water in order to form a thin paste. When the bubbling phase of the paste is over, then it is gently and uniformly applied all over the skin for a maximum of 15 minutes. Once the stinging starts, it has to be washed off with warm water and then removed with a washcloth. Following this method has shown a drastic reduction in the scars caused by acnes.

2. Talcum Powder:

Talcum power is another solution to lightening the scars as it causes the spots to dry off. With the sprinkling of a little amount of talc and dabbing it over the affected regions before going to bed, there is a radical reduction in the acne spots.

3. Cleaning and moisturizing:

It is recommended and moisturizing the skin every morning and night with products that are designed for the removal of the blemishes. Using a clean cloth, lukewarm water and a mild face wash your face and then apply the anti-blemish cream in order to get rid of the scars.

4. Salicylic Acid:

Salicylic Acid has come out to be known universally as the best cure for acnes. It removes the epidermis (external layer of the skin), clears the pores and therefore, removes all the chances for the breeding of bacteria. It is recommended not to use this over the cuts, sores or irritated skin.

The above-mentioned basic measures are good enough in order to fight the acne outburst and cause a radical reduction of the scars caused by acnes. In case of an extreme outburst, it is recommended for consulting a skin specialist and look for the antibiotics as prescribed by the skin specialist.
