What is the secret behind the merits of Green Tea?
Green Tea is a rich source of antioxidants known as Catechins. Recently, the researchers have been able to find out that this compound exerts an osteoprotective effect all over the body. Green Tea contains a higher content of Catechins and appears to be more beneficial for our bones as compared to other kind of teas. Research has also suggested that Green Tea’s Catechins are also known to benefit the eye health as it is absorbed well by the lens, retina as well as the eye tissues.
Green Tea has been termed as a medicinal brew as unlike Black Tea, its production involves only a little amount of processing and fermentation, which keeps the Catechins concentration high throughout.
People who consume Green Tea twice a day for three months are known to be 32% less prone towards developing flu and cold as compared to their counterparts.
