My father was treated by Dr. Ramneek Mahajan in 2009. we opted for Orthonova hospital, Malviya Nagar as that was the option for getting allowances from the central government medical scheme. My father Laet Sh. P.N. Duggal was retired Income Tax Commissioner. My father met with a small accident and it was suggested that the hip joint was required to be replaced. Dr. Ramneek Mahajan performed the surgery and after few days he was sent back home. We kept on calling Dr. Mahajan when we saw that his condition was deteriorating but we did not get any response from the doctor or the hospital. We were always told that the doctor was travelling out of India. My father also developed a big blood clot at his back and we kept on calling to get him checked as it was not possible to take him to the hospital. The very next day the clot moved to the heart and brain and he collapsed. The doctor who came at that time said it was a pure negligence from the doctor who was treating as he should have prescribed a blood thinner after this kind of surgery. My family has still not been able to come over this big loss. We kept on calling Dr. Ramneek Mahajan after the death of my father but he never picked our phone and never even tried to call up for consolation or apology. We always think that doctors are life savers, but after this incidence i think for few doctors it is only money that matter and patient life is just secondary.
