There is a huge difference between hunger and sudden pangs of eating a specific food. These intense and sudden pangs for a specific food can be a major sign of you suffering from a deficiency of certain nutrients. So, here is some of the major decoding of your cravings:
- Chocolates: Chocolate is a rich source of Magnesium. Therefore, strong cravings for Chocolate mean that you are suffering from a deficiency of a vital mineral. In case you are suffering from this kind of craving, make sure that you opt for a chocolate which has at least 75% cocoa, contains more magnesium and less sugar. In case you have the heart, you can also avoid chocolate and can try nuts which contain a larger amount of the mineral. Try eating green vegetables, brown rice and whole grain breads in order to keep your cravings in check.
- Meats: If you suffer from a Meat Craving, it means that your body is suffering from an Iron Deficiency. This can also mean that you are low on your Zinc intake. Red Meat is one of the best sources of Iron and Zinc and works fine in order to complete your deficiency. You can also try taking Shellfish, Lentils, Spinach, Cheese as well as Whole Grains in order to satiate this craving.
- Carbs: If you suffer from pangs of Carbs, you could be faring low on the amino acid Tryptophan. The best way to get over this craving is to upgrade your protein intake and to improve your mood. Some of the best sources of Tryptophan are Cottage Cheese, Milk, Eggs and Bananas.
