With the introduction of the E Cigarette in the international market, its popularity has only increased in the past several years. However, at the same time, there have been greater concerns over the health risks which are attached to these cigarettes.
In one of the recently published research, it has been found that some E Cigarettes released Formaldehyde, which is a known cancer causing substance or a carcinogen. In some matters, E Cigarettes are known to pose a health threat and needs to be called for a health regulation.
No health standards exist for the E Cigarettes. Though labels may indicate inaccurately described ingredients, the contents of these cigarettes vary from one brand to the other. The results out of 18 different brands of E Cigarettes have been found to be toxic and carcinogenic chemicals. In one of the brand, which mentioned ‘no nicotine’ on the label, was found to contain Nicotine. Certain quality control processes were used to manufacture these products was found to be nonexistent in real life.
E Liquid or E Juice, as it is commonly known is the name of a solution which when heated up and converted to an aerosol is inhaled by people using E Cigarettes. Here are some of the active ingredients of E Juice:
The addictive ingredient which has been found in E cigarettes is nicotine, which is known to stimulate the central nervous system and thus, raises the blood pressure, respiration as well as the heart rate. People tend to smoke due to the nicotine, which their body becomes addicted to. Though nicotine is very addictive, it does not cause cancer. What cause concern are the other chemicals which are found in the E liquid. Certain artificial flavors are also used in order to flavor the cigarette.
