The Perfect Face Mask for You

A variety of face masks are available in the market these days, which promise to make your skin look pretty and refreshing in a single day. But, were you aware that not all skin masks can work wonder on your skin and you should be choosing a mask according to your own facial skin type? So, stop playing Guinea Pig and choose the perfect skin mask for yourself:

  • Dry Skin: If you have a dry skin type, choose a mask which is low on the acid content as it can cause excessive drying. Also make sure that you stay away from masks which are low in sulphur, clay, benzyl peroxide and lime extract. Choose the masks which are rich in butter and oil, however, tea tree oil is one ingredient which you’d like to stay clear off.
  • Oily Skin: If you have hard, thick skin, you would need stronger ingredients. Though these ingredients should not be irritating your skin, you should be avoiding anything which comes with thick moisturizers. Look out for ingredients which can absorb oil such as Kaolin, Clay, Sea salt or mud for instance.
  • Sensitive Skin: For sensitive skin, it is recommended to go in for products which contain soothing ingredients to soothe down redness or inflammation. Look out for ingredients such as chamomile, cucumber and aloe Vera for instance. If you are currently suffering from Eczema or Rosacea, make sure that you avoid using the masks till the condition have subsided completely.
  • Combination Skin: If you have a combination skin, then it is recommended to oil along the T Zone. If you have this skin type, you should be going in for the ingredients which are going to exfoliate your skin without drying down your face. We would recommend you products that focus on hydration and have a low concentration of acid throughout.
