Vaginal Odor during pregnancy is very common amongst women all over the world. One of the major symptoms of vaginal odor is a pungent odor from the vaginal area along with a chunky discharge, itching, irritation as well as pain. Along with an increased hormone production, there is also an increased production of moisture around the vaginal area, which increases the risk of vaginal yeast infections.
Around 65% of pregnant women from all over the world report suffering from vaginal odor during the course of their gestation period. A lot of women are, however, embarrassed about the condition.
One of the best ways to deal with Vaginal Odor is to go in for testing for yeast infections, bacterial infections as well as STD’s. In most of the cases, it is the hormonal changes which cause the smell. There is a high possibility that once the baby is born, the odor goes out on its own. Staying dry is the best possible solution for the problem as changing the underwear and using light pants are highly used by women all over the world.
In some of the cases, the food which you eat or the spices which are being used in your food could also is causing the smell. With the increased secretion around the vaginal area and the sebaceous glands during the pregnancy, the foods and spices which are being synthesized by your skin could be the culprit behind the odor. So, if you are eating a lot of spicy foods, altering your diet may help out.
