Not everyone has a taste for water; however we need to make sure that our body is continuing functioning properly. If you want to drink more water, but are not too crazy about the taste of it, here are some tricks to make it tastier:
Adding Fresh Fruit:Adding classic citrus fruits such as lemons, oranges and limes can enhance the taste of the water to a great extent. Try adding crushed raspberries and watermelon to your water in order to make a refreshing drink in no time.
Use Juice:Any fruit juice can serve as a great base flavor for your water. You can add tart juices such as pomegranate, grape and apple in order to make it more delicious. Choose juices which are natural and have no added sugars. The vitamins and antioxidants in the juices only go on to add to your health benefit as well.
Choose the bubbly:Most people prefer sparkling water to still water. You can choose a naturally effervescent mineral water which is going to provide you with the additional benefit of the minerals. You can also add fresh fruit or juices to your carbonated water in order to prep up the flavor more.
Creative with Ice:Some people say that iced water tastes better as compared to the normal water. Choosing flavored ice cubes can make an even better drink. You can freeze the water with fresh fruit, mint or cucumber for an added taste. Chop and add the additive of your choice and freeze the water.
Drink Tea:Herbal tea, green tea and red teas can be considered to be an excellent replacement as compared to the normal old black tea. This is because they contain no caffeine and enhance the flavor of the drink.
Bouillons and Broths:If you are more into a flavor and savory drinks, try sipping hot and savory broths. Go for a low fat and low sodium version of the drink in order to attain maximum health benefits. Since soup is water based, a cup of hot soup can also fulfill your daily consumption.
