Can Castor Oil used during pregnancy? What is it used for?

Yes. Though Castor oil is known to induce labor in some cases, its use is not recommended. Castor Oil is known to have certain side effects such as nausea and diarrhea. Battling with these vices would be the last thing that you could needing during the course of your pregnancy.

Castor Oil is known to work as a laxative which stimulates both your tummy as well as your womb in order to start the process of labor. Though research studies have indicated that the oil did not cause any harm to the mums or the babies, all the women who took it felt sick afterwards.

In case you want to try Castor Oil, it is recommended to talk out with your doctor or midwife before you opt for it.

Castor oil is very revolting in taste and is very oily to drink the first place.
