Like most of the other drugs, Ibuprofen or Advil is known to be a Pregnancy Risk Category medicine. It is considered to be a category D medication in the third trimester of the pregnancy. This means that in the third trimester, the medicine is known to cause harm to your baby. The medication is known to cause the passage in the baby’s heart to be closed prematurely and this can lead to heart or lung damage of the baby.
