Created On : March 20, 2015

Bleeding during the early days of pregnancy is very common and it is not known to harm your baby. One in every five pregnant woman goes through this during the first trimester of their pregnancy. Some of the major causes of bleeding during pregnancy are as follows:

  • Breakthrough bleeding may occur when the pregnancy hormones cover up your monthly menstrual cycle.
  • Implantation Bleeding occurs when the fertilized egg implants itself in the uterus. This is quite uncommon.
  • Due to the softening of the cervix and the raw area close to it, bleeding can also occur. Futhermore, due to the vaginal or cervical infection, bleeding can occur.

Though bleeding is very common amongst pregnant women all over the world, it is important to make sure to get it checked with your doctor or gynecologist in case you are experiencing it frequently.
