Hi, I have just started my third trimester of pregnancy. I have heard that in this trimester the baby gains weight. Anything I can do to increase the weight of my baby?
Eating banana from seventh month of pregnancy helps in increasing the weight of the baby. My mom ate banana when she was pregnant with me from seventh month due to which I was born quite healthy as compared to my elder brother at whose time, she didnt eat bananas as she didnt know about it.
Yes, bananas helps to increase the weight of the unborn baby. My sister in law had high blood pressure in eight month due to which there were chances of preterm delivery. The doctor's concern was the weight of the baby was very less in case they had to do preterm delivery. So as per my mom's advice she ate bananas everyday. The baby's weight improved quite a lot in just 4 days after which the preterm delivery had to be done as BP was not reducing. But thanks to bananas, the baby's weight was fine.
In my pregnancy, the only diet i followed was no diet! I guess its the only time when you can eat whatever you want without worrying about the calories. So I ate everything that I always loved but had to avoid like rice, paneer, cheese, milkshakes, cakes, chocolates, bananas, fried food, etc. However just be careful. Anything you have, have in moderation as too much of it also can be harmful. And yes, along with this you cannot compromise on the healthy food. You have to have the daily required nutrients. So have milk, fruits, cereals, spinach and other mineral rich foodstuffs. You and your baby will be very healthy, dont worry...
