Should I do push ups everyday? Is it okay?

I am a 21 year old boy and I am thinking about building my body. some of my friends have asked me to start with normal push ups. They have recommended around 150-200 pushups everyday. However, I want to know if it is okay to do push ups everyday. I mean like I have a not so fit body. Just need to know if this is going to be okay for me?

Hi Puneet, There is nothing wrong in doing your pushups everyday. But dont do more than 200 pushups everyday. That will be too much for you. Also, it is not going to help you at this stage. Your muscles will end up being strained, nothing else. Also, it can lead to health issues on the later stages. so, maintain a limit for everyday and stick to it.

Yes Puneet. Do not attempt more than 200 pushups per day bro! Keep is small and real in the beginning and once you see the changes going on good, then go for more! Peace!

200 pushups is too much for a day. However the number of pushups in a day depends on person's fitness as well. The number of pushups should be limited to maximum 100, or else the muscles would get strained and chances of spams increases. As it is rightly said 'excess of anything is bad', so is it applicable for this form of fitness exercise.
